Dance of the Five Elements

Dance of the Five Elements is an authorial method and movement practice based on the universal concept of the five elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether.

The method brings together the symbolic language of the five elements with movement, attention and embodied experience. It emerged from many years of teaching, research and engagement with dance traditions from different cultures.

Today the practice exists in different formats and is open to people of all levels of experience.

Ways of Working

01

Seminars

One-Day and Two-Day Seminars

Seminars offer a first introduction to the Dance of the Five Elements method or an opportunity to explore an already familiar practice more deeply.

Duration ranges from two to four hours. The format may provide an overview or a more in-depth experience, with theoretical and practical components, depending on the aims of the group and organizers.

Retreats

Retreats run for 5–7 days and offer complete immersion in the practice.

In addition to sessions in Dance of the Five Elements, the program may include collaborations with other practitioners: yoga, mindfulness practices, bodywork, nutrition, walks, lectures, and other approaches that enrich the overall experience.

Each retreat is created individually, taking into account the location, team, and overarching theme.

Online Classes

Online Practice

For those who are unable to participate in person, an online group is available.

Classes take place regularly, usually once a week. The format combines a theoretical component, movement practice, and the opportunity to explore the method gradually at a comfortable pace.

Individual Work

Individual sessions make it possible to shape the practice around a person’s personal needs, experience, and goals.

This format offers a deeper immersion in the method. Through movement, attention, and dialogue, we explore the body’s possibilities, open up inner potential, and gradually find the most natural path of development for that particular person.

Each session is structured individually and may include both study of the Dance of the Five Elements method and deeper personal work.
